Sagada Sunrise
Fog clouds linger in the valleys below as the sun rises leisurely over the mountain range. We spectators huddle together, shrugging off the cold.
I’m waiting for the sunrise in Sagada today. With only a 30% chance of visibility, it’s an elusive sight for the lucky. The light creeps slowly above the peaks, revealing various patterns of rice terraces across the valley. Granted, 5:30 am is undesirably early to be standing out in the cold mountain morning; but with the warmth of the rising sun also comes a view that, if you happen upon that 30% chance of visibility, it’s a lucky day indeed.
If you want to read more on Sagada, check out my Gogobot reviews. If you can, I strongly suggest you try caving while you’re in town.

Yup, I actually had to squeeze down that narrow passage, feet first.
I wasn’t able to experience this kind of sunrise at Sagada so it gave me a reason to come back.

Wishing you better luck next time! I want to go back as well, except to do the longer cave route. So fun!

I tried their “Cave Connection” and the experience was really one of a kind. I will try to explore their Crystal Cave next time.
